Chris Evans’ Spider-Man Movie Is Suddenly a Streaming Hit Again

A familiar Marvel adventure starring Chris Evans is getting another moment in the spotlight as audiences revisit one of Tom Holland’s earliest turns as Spider-Man. The renewed interest arrives while Holland’s latest web-slinging movie is having a successful stint in the worldwide theatres.

It sits ahead of Black Adam, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, Chief of Station, and Terry McMillan Presents: His, Hers & Ours, showing that the eight-year-old superhero movie still has plenty of juice with streaming viewers. The movie is also ranking highly on Disney+.

Jon Watts directed the movie, which reached U.S. theaters on July 7, 2017. Holland plays Peter Parker, with Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes, Zendaya as Michelle Jones, and Robert Downey Jr. appearing as Tony Stark. Tom Holland then returned in Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home. IMDb rates those films 7.3 and 8.1, respectively, while Rotten Tomatoes rates them at 91% and 93%, with audiences giving them 92% and 96%, respectively.
