Black Clover, Yuki Tabata’s long-running shonen series, has reached a pivotal moment that fans have anticipated for years. Shueisha confirmed when readers will witness the conclusion of Asta’s journey, setting an official release date for the manga’s final chapters.
Black Clover manga to end soon
Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover manga will reach its climax on May 1, 2026, in the Spring 2026 issue of Jump GIGA. The issue will feature three new chapters, with the series concluding at chapter 392. Black Clover will appear on the cover and include a color spread.
Shueisha confirmed the news during the April 27, 2026, Jump Press broadcast. The Spring 2026 issue of Jump GIGA releases in Japan on May 1, while United States readers can access it on April 30. The final chapters will depict the decisive battle between Asta and Yuno Grinberryall for the title of Wizard King.
Tabata debuted Black Clover in Weekly Shonen Jump on February 16, 2015. The series ran in the weekly publication until August 21, 2023, reaching over 360 chapters. Scheduling difficulties with weekly serialization prompted Tabata to shift the manga to the quarterly Jump GIGA magazine.
Tabata addressed the move in a previous statement. “As the serialization of Black Clover has been going on for a long time, the increasing demands of the schedule for a weekly serialization have been clashing more and more with my own situation as a manga author,” Tabata said.
Tabata also expressed his commitment to finishing the series properly. “However, with Giga, I believe I can proceed with the climax of Black Clover in a more optimal condition, aligning with my personal situation as a writer! There are still quite a few stories I’d like to draw that I must draw, so please look forward to them. I’ll do my best to bring Black Clover to a successful conclusion!”
Viz Media publishes the manga digitally and in print. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also publishes the series digitally for international readers.
