James Gunn has yet to officially confirm if Man of Tomorrow has been retitled to Superman: Man of Tomorrow.
The speculation about the title change started after Variety published an article detailing Warner Bros. Discovery’s future amid its sale to Netflix and Paramount’s takeover bid. The article labeled the sequel “Superman: Man of Tomorrow” and revealed that production would start in a few weeks.
The title drew a wide range of reactions from fans who shared their thoughts on social media. Some of them even welcomed the yet-to-be-confirmed title change.
Fans have a strong reason to believe that the title was changed, despite the current lack of confirmation. This is because James Gunn established a pattern of retitling DCU films. He previously retitled Superman: Legacy to Superman and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow to Supergirl.
