What MCU Movies & TV Shows to Watch Before Avengers: Doomsday Revealed

Marvel fans wanting to be prepared for Marvel StudiosAvengers: Doomsday will need to rewatch just over 30 movies and shows before the movie hits theaters this December.

Which MCU shows and movies are the most important to watch before Avengers: Doomsday?

Alex Perez, a trusted scooper writing for the Cosmic Circus, revealed the list of 31 titles on the social media platform X. Of those 31, Perez considered these 12 to be “the most important” for fans to revisit before Doomsday:

The rest of the Doomsday watchlist included Marvel’s The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, What If…? Seasons 2 & 3, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Ms. Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Deadpool & Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World, Ironheart, and the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day and VisionQuest.

Perez also suggested that fans rewatch Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, X2, and X-Men: The Last Stand. While not as important as the first 12, Perez explained that the remaining 19 all focus on characters who will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, allowing fans to brush up on where “we last see characters in action.”

Directed by the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Doomsday will take place 14 months after Thunderbolts*, following the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the X-Men as they team up to face Doctor Doom.

Robert Downey Jr. will portray Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom in Doomsday, as well as its direct sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars. The actor is also expected, via unconfirmed reports, to be reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the movie.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
