Wolverine & Spider-Man’s PS5 Crossover Gets a Hopeful Tease

The gaming industry continues to evolve as major franchises expand their universes across multiple titles. After a period of limited updates on crossover possibilities, new comments from within Insomniac’s Marvel projects have renewed attention. A recent tease has sparked fresh discussion about whether two of the studio’s flagship heroes may finally share the screen.

Yuri Lowenthal teases Spider-Man and Wolverine’s PS5 crossover

In a new interview with The Direct, Spider-Man PS5 actor Yuri Lowenthal addressed whether Peter Parker and Wolverine will share the screen in Insomniac Games’ continuity. Speaking while promoting Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Course with Tara Platt, Lowenthal confirmed that the two heroes exist within the same universe but stated, “I don’t think they’ve met yet.”

Lowenthal added that he would be open to future interactions, noting, “I’d love to see them together, obviously.” He further clarified, “Based on the information that I have, I don’t think they’ve met yet.” He reiterated that any crossover would depend on the studio creating opportunities.

Platt said, “But you would love to see Spider-Man and Deadpool together.” Her comment prompted Lowenthal to mention other character pairings he hopes to see. He mentioned, “Yeah, there’s so many things that I’d like to see. Spider-Man and Moon Knight, but I’d love to play Moon Knight and Spider-Man. I know there’s so many things my nerdy little heart wants to see.”

Lowenthal explained that he did not take part in Wolverine’s development and described the game’s creative process as “a black box,” adding, “I’m learning about it basically in real time with you.” He confirmed again, “I don’t think, in this universe, they’ve met each other yet. I would love for them to, obviously, create opportunities.”

Insomniac announced Wolverine in 2021 and faced a 2023 cyberattack that leaked internal footage and story details. The studio maintained its timeline and confirmed Liam McIntyre as Logan for a Fall 2026 release.

Outside the games, Lowenthal and Platt launched Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Course, a 17-module program offering more than nine hours of instruction. Platt described it as “sort of like a college VO 101 class,” while Lowenthal said they built it to answer questions from beginners asking, “Where do I even begin?”
