Batman fans will soon be able to watch a new cartoon featuring the Dark Knight and his colorful supporting cast of characters.
When is Bat-Fam arriving on Prime Video?
Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first poster for its upcoming Batman animated series, Bat-Fam (formerly Bat-Family), on the social media platform X, while also confirming its November 2025 release on Prime Video.
DC fans will recognize several prominent characters from the Batman mythos on the Bat-Fam poster, such as Batman (still sporting his beard from the animated film Merry Little Batman), Alfred Pennyworth, Damian Wayne/Little Batman, Man-Bat, and Ra’s al Ghul. The cartoon will also feature a new character, Alicia Pennyworth, the grandniece of Alfred, as well as Claire/Volcana, who is typically a Superman villain but in the show will be Batman’s ward.

Bat-Fam is a spinoff sequel to the animated movie Merry Little Batman, which was released on Prime Video in December 2023. Both projects were originally in development for HBO Max but were shelved in 2022 by Warner Bros. Discovery as part of the company’s larger cost-cutting methods. Both projects, as well as the separate series Batman: Caped Crusader, were ultimately acquired by Prime Video.
Bat-Fam, per the official synopsis, follows “Batman, Alfred, and young Damian Wayne — now having taken on the mantle of Little Batman — as they welcome a few new residents to Wayne Manor. Joining the family dinner table is Alicia Pennyworth, Alfred’s free-spirited grandniece; Claire, a recently reformed Super-Villain; Ra’s al Ghul, Damian’s adoring ‘Pap Pap’ who also happens to be Batman’s longtime nemesis; and Man-Bat, who takes up residence in the Wayne Manor belfry. Oh! And let’s not forget Selina, the beloved family cat. This close-knit family of misfits navigate the fun and frustrations of ordinary life while protecting the streets of Gotham City. Prepare for nonstop action, big heart, and hilarious chaos!”
Luke Wilson, Yonas Kibreab, and James Cromwell reprise their voice roles from Merry Little Batman as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Damian Wayne/Little Batman, and Alfred Pennyworth, respectively. They will be joined by newcomers Haley Tju as Claire, London Hughes as Alicia, Michael Benyaer as Ra’s Al Ghul, and Bobby Moynihan as Man-Bat.
Bat-Fam is slated to premiere on Prime Video in November 2025.
