Squid Game fans react to VIPs in Season 3
Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung Jae, along with other characters like the Frontman (Lee Byung-hun) and Wi Ha-jun (Jun-ho), were the main focus of the show. However, the VIPs were also an integral part of Squid Game.
The VIPs were a group of anonymous masked individuals who watched the games for their entertainment and bet on the players. They have been a part of the series since Season 1. However, since Season 3’s release, some fans have singled out the VIPs as the most underwhelming aspect of the season. They have also expressed their disappointment with the dialogue delivery of some of the VIPs.
Below are the reactions of some fans on X (formerly Twitter).
A user named Vivian labeled the VIPs’ dialogue in English as the “real horror in Squid Game 3.” The user further wrote, “They were speaking English like it was their first day on Earth. And the Whole time i thought it was Grok, Meta AI and ChatGPT having a conversation.”
Another user wrote, “A real life Squid Game where the participants are these VIPs cringy, horrible actors.”
User Leo on X noted, “The VIPs acting in squid game is worse than their characters my gawd.”
Another fan called out the VIPs for what they called “terrible acting” and commented, “Why do the VIPs in Squid Games sound like they’re dubbed over, like it’s so annoying. Literally worst parts of the show.”
Another fan conveyed, “As much as I enjoyed #SquidGame, the VIP’s were such a stupid unnecessary addition to the series. Their stupid wooden performances did nothing for the storyline. The ones in season 3 were especially infuriating.”
