“Ironheart is a compelling, grounded story that gives Riri Williams the introduction and in-depth character exploration she deserves,” wrote Cassondra Feltus (Black Girl Nerds), rating it 5/5. Alan French (FandomWire) gave the show 8/10, stating, “It carries over aspects of what it means to be a human being in a world of superpowers.”
George M. Thomas (Akron Beacon Journal) praised the action and emotional core, scoring it a ‘B.’ Justin Carter (Gizmodo) commented, “Ironheart has enough that works that it’d be nice to see Riri and company return.” Julian Lytle (RIOTUS) called it “a good show,” noting that while Dominique Thorne and Lyric Ross shine, Ramos’ talents were underutilized.
