Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who plays the role of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, aka Val, in Thunderbolts*, shared whether she will appear in future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) projects. Louis-Dreyfus’ character has become one of the impactful ones since its introduction in the 2021 show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Thunderbolts* star Julia Louis-Dreyfus hints Val’s future in the MCU
In a recent conversation with Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show, Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared whether she would be involved in any upcoming MCU projects.
As they discussed numerous things regarding her character and Thunderbolts*, Kimmel asked Louis-Dreyfus if she would be a part of the forthcoming Avengers movie, which is Avengers: Doomsday.
The Seinfeld actress denied returning in Doomsday and said, “Well, no, I’m not gonna be in that movie.” However, she hinted that her character might appear in the MCU in the future by stating, “But I’m very happy to be a part of the Marvel universe, and I’m not allowed to say anything beyond that.”
Her remark led to the crowd erupting in cheers, as she and Kimmel burst into laughter.
Louis-Dreyfus’ name was not included in the cast announcement of Avengers: Doomsday made in March 2025. When talking about this previously with Fandango, the actress joked about firing some of her staff for not being able to make it on the list of actors set to appear in Doomsday. She said, “Oh wow. I don’t know, but someone’s getting fired. I’m changing everybody who works for me now. They’re all out.”
Nevertheless, her role in Thunderbolts*, which was released on May 2, 2025, seems to have made a positive impression on both critics and fans.
