New M.O.D.O.K. Clips Introduce the Show’s Supporting Cast

Hulu’s new M.O.D.O.K. animated series puts the big-headed supervillain front and center, but there are still plenty of other characters who could easily steal the spotlight away from him. Ahead of its debut next week, Marvel has released several new clips from the series that offer new looks at some of M.O.D.O.K.’s supporting players.

The clips also give us some fresh insight into the characters’ personalities. There’s M.O.D.O.K.’s wife Jodie (voiced by Aimee Garcia), a lifestyle blogger who’s also pushing her own self-help book. As earlier trailers have shown, Jodie and M.O.D.O.K.’s marriage isn’t exactly rock solid. Regardless, the couple must put aside their differences for the sake of their two children: Melissa (Melissa Fumero) and Lou (Ben Schwartz).

Additionally, the series features a few characters that Marvel fans might actually recognize, like Super-Adaptoid (Jon Daly). In the comics, Super-Adaptoid was a robot created by A.I.M. who also has the ability to copy the powers of any hero he comes into contact with. But here, the character claims to have an “artist’s soul,” with ambitions beyond serving M.O.D.O.K. in his quest for world domination. Unfortunately, this doesn’t stop the villain from using him as his personal Vitamix. And if you thought M.O.D.O.K.’s family life was frustrating, that’s nothing compared to his workplace rivalry with Monica Rappaccini, voiced by Wendi McLendon-Covey.

M.O.D.O.K. will premiere its 10-episode first season next Friday, May 21.
