Supergirl’s Final Season Adds Claude Knowlton and Jason Behr

In less than two weeks, Supergirl’s sixth and final season will take flight on The CW. Now, two new faces are coming along for its home stretch. Deadline is reporting that Claude Knowlton and Jason Behr are joining the series’ cast for its last remaining episodes.

Both actors will recur throughout season 6 as alien characters. We still don’t know their names, but Knowlton is starring as “a mild mannered alien whose tragic past allows him to help the Superfriends with their mission at hand.” Behr, on the other hand, is playing a well-known Kryptonian. His character is also an ally, and “plays a significant role helping Kara when she faces circumstances beyond her control.”

Knowlton has guest-starred on a variety of popular TV shows, including Criminal Minds, Supernatural, and American Crime Story. Meanwhile, Behr is probably best known for his starring role as Max Evans on Roswell from 1999 to 2002. More recently, he appeared on The CW’s reboot of the series, Roswell, New Mexico, as Tripp. Interestingly enough, this actually isn’t Behr’s first brush with playing a Kryptonian character in the DC Universe. In the early 2000s, he auditioned to play the Man of Steel himself when McG was still attached to direct Superman: Flyby, based on a script by J.J. Abrams.

Supergirl will premiere its final season on Tuesday, March 30 at 9pm on The CW.
