Sylvester Stallone Says He’s in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad

Yo, Harley! It looks like The Suicide Squad will add yet another character with a comic book physique, as Sylvester Stallone just announced via Instagram that he shot a scene for the film. This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise for anyone who knows James Gunn. The writer-director stays loyal to folks he’s worked with before, as many of the same faces keep popping up in his films. Everyone from Troma boss Lloyd Kaufman to the ever-dependable Michael Rooker basically has a guaranteed part with Gunn if they want it. Stallone previously played Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. From the sound of it, though, he may just have one scene in The Suicide Squad.

It’s tough to guess who Stallone might play, since his physique lends itself to just about any comics character. But as the star of the Expendables franchise, he knows a thing or two about big-screen suicide squads.

Of course, the way Gunn works, Stallone could turn out to play something as offbeat as the voice of Starro. We’ll have to wait and see.

Whom do you think Sylvester Stallone should play in the DC Universe? Let us know in comments!
