Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy on 4K Ultra HD Coming in October

Time flies, and Back to the Future is almost 35 years old now. To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Universal Pictures planned for the original movie to return to theaters. Sadly, the COVID-19 forced the studios to change its plans. Nevertheless, fans will get their chance to watch Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and the time-traveling DeLorean from home. Universal will release the Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy just in time to celebrate Back to the Future Day on October 21. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray set includes all three movies in collectible disc book packaging plus a bonus disc, including all-new content.

The bonus disc features over an hour of new extras, including rare audition footage from Hollywood stars Ben Stiller, Kyra Sedgwick, Jon Cryer, Billy Zane, as well as Peter DeLuise and C. Thomas Howell. Plus, there will be a tour of the film’s props and memorabilia hosted by co-writer/producer Bob Gale. Fans will also get a sneak peek at the new musical show, and a special episode of the popular YouTube Series “Could You Survive The Movies?”

On top of that, three premium collections will be available at select retailers — Amazon, Target, and Best Buy — for a limited time only. The Amazon and the Target ones include an exclusive levitating Hoverboard replica, while Best Buy’s includes three newly designed steelbooks.

Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy will be available starting October 20.
