Spoiler warning for Episode 8.04 of Game of Thrones!
The time for celebration has come in Winterfell, after the unexpected victory of our heroes over the Army of Dead in “The Long Night” episode. In the middle of the party, though, a frame showed Daenerys Targaryen enjoying an unusual beverage. A Starbucks cup “mysteriously” appeared between one goblet of wine and another. The caffeinated moment arrives when Tormund Giantsbane is toasting Jon Snow with his giant horn, around the 17:40 mark of the episode.

Afterwards, someone noted this is not the first time a coffee cup has sneaked into a Game of Thrones scene.

We don’t know whether the Mother of Dragons was savouring a plain coffee, a pumpkin spice latte, or a vanilla latte, but the Starbucks cameo didn’t passed unnoticed in the candlelit environment. The incident sparked hilarity on social networks afterwards, with many commenting ironically on the unexpected appearance of the drinking vessel from America’s favorite coffee chain.
