New Details on Avengers: Age of Ultron’s Italian Shoot

This weekend, we brought you some of the first images from the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is currently filming in and around Fort di Bard in Valle D’Aosta, Italy. Since then, more details on what the sequence being shot includes have been revealed and it sounds like it’s going to be rather explosive.

Cinefilos.it reports that the initial photos from the set are of the back of a dropship, which will serve as the point of rescue for Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver as they attempt to escape from James Spader’s Ultron. The site also reveals that the location in Valle D’Aosta is actually doubling for an Eastern European city named Sokovia with many of the signs set up around the location being written in Serbian. Check back here for more info on the Avengers: Age of Ultron shoot as we learn it.

Written and directed once again by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron will also see the return of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson.
