Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has praised Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. Downey will return to the MCU as Victor von Doom after playing Iron Man for years. Empire Magazine notes that Doom “has never been done right.” This made the role a major challenge for Feige, the Russo brothers, and Downey Jr. However, Feige believes Marvel has found the right actor for the job. He called Downey “the greatest actor of his time” and said he “can pull off anything.” Feige also revealed that Downey “found something fairly quickly” with his interpretation of Doom.
