Marvel Studios has unveiled a new Avengers: Doomsday poster featuring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. The artwork gives Marvel fans another look at the supervillain ahead of the movie’s December release.
The poster shows Doom in a dark green cloak, standing before tall, green-tinted stained-glass windows. His hood hides most of his face, while his glowing eyes and armor stand out. It comes with a major announcement that tickets are now available for all formats. Fans can book seats in standard, IMAX, and Dolby theaters.
When could the second Avengers: Doomsday trailer be released?
Reports suggested the second Avengers: Doomsday trailer could arrive around D23 on Friday, August 14. They have pointed to the Disney fan event as the likely moment for new footage to appear.
However, Marvel has not officially announced a trailer release time. Reports currently describe the new trailer as expected rather than confirmed, so fans will have to wait for the official update.
Avengers: Doomsday brings together superheroes from three universes. The first trailer confirmed Doctor Doom as the central threat. It also showed Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four characters preparing for a multiverse conflict. Marvel has not revealed which story points the next preview may address.
The official synopsis for Doomsday says they face “an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.” The Russo brothers are directing the movie from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, and Anthony Mackie. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen return as Professor X and Magneto. Further, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Kelsey Grammer will also make appearances.
Ticket sales for Infinity Vision opened on July 20. General sales launched at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H panel. Premium presales hit $16.5 million on day one.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. It will set up the next chapter, Avengers: Secret Wars, which marks the start of the Multiverse Saga’s final act.
