MCU Fans Need to Know This About 2026 D23’s Potential Avengers: Doomsday & X-Men Reveals

Marvel Studios will attend Disney’s D23 Expo this weekend, and fans are expecting several major MCU announcements. While some rumors have suggested announcements regarding Avengers: Doomsday and X-Men, the studio has not officially announced its plans. Here is everything fans need to know about Marvel’s D23 panel for those expecting MCU movie announcements.

Any announcements from Marvel Studios at D23 will happen during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at 7 PM ET on Friday, August 14, 2026. Like the San Diego Comic-Con panel, the event will not be livestreamed. Fans looking to hear about any announcements should start tuning in around the same time.

Any footage shown at D23 will likely be kept exclusive to the expo. However, any major announcements, such as casting updates, for new movies and shows will find their way online soon enough. Earlier this year, Marvel debuted the Avengers: Doomsday trailer to CinemaCon attendees exclusively, and released it publicly months later.

Why Marvel’s D23 reveals could be a game-changer for the MCU

Marvel did not announce anything regarding its TV shows at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Instead, fans are expecting updates on VisionQuest and Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 at D23. At the same time, with Avengers: Doomsday fast approaching its release, fans are also expecting more footage from the film to be revealed. Marvel Studios has also started casting for its X-Men reboot, and with three cast members officially revealed, it’s possible that the entire cast could be revealed at the expo.

Marvel has also slowed down on making new TV shows in recent years, although some remain in development. Most recently, Michael Giacchino revealed that Werewolf by Night 2 remains a project Marvel is interested in. The studio is also developing X-Men ’97 seasons 3 and 4. It remains to be seen what announcements Marvel makes at D23 this year.
