A new Deadpool 4 rumor has fans pitching their dream MCU team-up.
Ryan Reynolds has played Wade Wilson/Deadpool in three feature films, the first of which was released in 2016. That was followed by Deadpool 2 in 2018, which was re-edited for a PG-13 audience into Once Upon a Deadpool. Most recently, there was 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine. That movie saw Wilson officially join the MCU, as the Deadpool character was owned by 20th Century Fox prior to that.
What is the new Deadpool 4 report?
There’s been no official announcement regarding Deadpool 4 from Marvel Studios as of yet, meaning any news about the potential project should be treated as a rumor and taken with a grain of salt.
Having said that, scooper Daniel Richtman is now reporting that Deadpool 4 will be a team-up movie. Richtman didn’t provide any details regarding who Deadpool will allegedly be teaming up with; however, fans are now pitching their thoughts.
The most common name to show up is Spider-Man, which makes sense given there was a very popular Spider-Man/Deadpool comic that ran for 50 issues. Other common answers include Daredevil and X-Force.
As far as official announcements go, Reynolds’ future in the MCU is uncertain. There have been conflicting reports as to whether or not he’ll be part of Avengers: Doomsday and/or Avengers: Secret Wars, with Marvel having remained silent on the issue. It was reported that Reynolds is toying with some ideas for a movie involving Deadpool and some X-Men characters that he’ll likely bring to Marvel Studios at a later date, though it was additionally reported last summer that Deadpool 4 is not a very high priority for Marvel at this time.
All three Deadpool movies are currently available to stream on Disney+ at this time.
