Cletus Kasady is Reborn in an Extended Venom: Let There Be Carnage Clip

Earlier this week, Sony teased more symbiote mayhem with a short clip highlighting Cletus Kasady’s first transformation into Carnage. Now, the studio has decided to reveal the character’s full origin scene. Sony (via PlayStation) just premiered a new extended clip from Venom: Let There Be Carnage that showcases the full range of the villain’s powers.

As the previous clip showed us, Kasady’s symbiotic other half takes over right as he’s about to be executed. But this time, we get to follow him along on his first-ever rampage as Carnage. After laying waste to a few prison guards, he immediately sets his sights on the nearest cell block. There, he pulls the doors off a number of cells with ease, freeing countless prisoners before he makes his grand escape…but not before he takes out a few more COs (including one particularly horrifying death by french kiss) and even the warden himself.

You can check out the new four-minute clip from the film below.

Needless to say, Eddie Brock is going to have to get pretty creative when facing his latest adversary. Especially since Cletus won’t be alone as he embarks on his reign of terror. The sequel is also introducing Naomie Harris as Shriek, whose sonic screaming ability poses a threat to any symbiotes standing in her way.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage hits theaters this Friday, October 1.
