Task Force X Gets Dirty in The Suicide Squad’s Blooper Reel

The Suicide Squad is still playing in theaters, but that isn’t stopping Warner Bros. from releasing the film’s gag reel ahead of its home media release next month. The four-minute montage boasts a side-splitting collection of flubbed lines and prop malfunctions. And even a bizarre bit of foreplay involving a severed limb.

James Gunn’s sequel/reboot notably cast some top-tier comic talents to bring several low-level DC supervillains to life. Unfortunately, many of them didn’t make it past the first 10 minutes of the movie. As most fans know by now, that includes Flula Borg’s Javelin and Michael Rooker’s Savant. But even though they didn’t have a lot of screen time, both actors brought plenty of laughs to the set. Borg, for one, couldn’t resist a good old fashioned metaphor when his character’s namesake weapon kept falling over, much to co-star Margot Robbie’s amusement. Meanwhile, on the other side of the plane, Rooker could barely keep his own giggle fits under control.

Other highlights involve a series of technical gaffs, like when Steve Agee struggles to pass through a curtain while wearing his giant King Shark headpiece. Although some viewers may have thought the flock of birds that perched themselves on Margot Robbie were CGI creations, it turns out they were very real. And they had a hard time cooperating while cameras were rolling. There’s also the usual assortment of gun hijinks, including a mishap where Idris Elba accidentally nails David Dastmalchian in the crotch.

The Suicide Squad is now available to own digitally and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 26.
