Warner Bros. Releases New Clips From The Suicide Squad

With The Suicide Squad’s release date fast approaching, Warner Bros. is starting to reveal a little bit more from the upcoming film. A trio of clips from James Gunn’s long-awaited sequel/reboot have made their way online, all of which spotlight different members of Task Force X and their colorful personalities.

Two of the clips were shown during last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live (guest-hosted by Anthony Anderson), which featured appearances by Gunn, Margot Robbie, and John Cena (in full Peacemaker garb). The first scene shows Rick Flag and his team attempting to help Harley Quinn out of a jam in Corto Maltese. However, it looks like all their hard work and planning was for naught, because by the time they finally arrive on the scene, Harley has already escaped from her captors.

Meanwhile, the second clip prominently features King Shark (voiced by Sylvester Stallone). As the team gets ready for a new mission, the Great White hellbeast asks to wear a disguise. But when his fellow anti-heroes tell him it wouldn’t do any good, he vents his frustration in the most hilarious way. You check out both of these scenes below.

Additionally, IGN has premiered another clip from the film that focuses on Nathan Fillion’s T.D.K. (a.k.a. The Detachable Kid), who finally gets his time to shine in the field. Unfortunately, his detachable limbs don’t seem to be of much use against an armed battalion of soldiers.

The Suicide Squad hits theaters and HBO Max on August 6.
