New Batman: The Long Halloween Images Highlight the Supporting Cast

Warner Bros. continues to hype the release of Batman: The Long Halloween with fresh looks at its supporting characters. The studio has just premiered several new images from the animated film, all of which feature some of the Dark Knight’s most trusted allies.

The first image finds Batman standing beside Police Captain Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent (pre-Two-Face). Both characters will aid the hero in his investigation of a series of murders happening throughout Gotham City. Other photos examine some of the more complex relationships that drive the story forward. And it doesn’t get more complex than Batman’s relationship with Catwoman, who appears in another image. In The Long Halloween, Catwoman is voiced Naya Rivera, marking one of her last performances before her death last year.

Additional stills show Gordan and Dent alongside even more pivotal characters from the film. Just like in the source material, The Long Halloween will explore Harvey’s marriage to his wife, Gilda. And although she never appeared in the original storyline, Renee Montoya will make an appearance as a Gotham City police detective.

Based on the acclaimed 1996 miniseries by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, The Long Halloween takes place during the early days of Batman’s war on crime. As a war brews between the Falcone and Maroni families, the Caped Crusader must also use every detective strategy at his disposal to find and catch a new killer only known as Holliday. Jensen Ackles is headlining the film as the voice of Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego. Other cast members include Billy Burke, Josh Duhamel, Julie Nathanson, Alyssa Diaz, and Troy Baker, to name a few.

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 1 hits Blu-ray and digital on June 22. A follow-up, Part 2, is scheduled to arrive in the fall.
