Ryan Gosling Will Star In Universal’s The Wolfman Reboot

The Wolfman didn’t get very far into development during Universal Pictures’ Dark Universe phase. But thanks to the success of The Invisible Man, Universal is ready to give The Wolfman another opportunity on the big screen. According to Variety, Universal is developing a new Wolfman reboot with Ryan Gosling as the star.

Gosling has previously starred in Blade Runner 2049, La La Land, Drive, and The Big Short. He also starred in Half Nelson, Lars and the Real Girl, and First Man; among several other films.

According to the report, Gosling made the original pitch for The Wolfman remake. However, the actual script was written by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. There’s currently no director attached, but Variety also notes that Cory Finley (Bad Education) is in the running for the job.
