Kevin Feige Talks Ironheart and Possible Killmonger Return

It seems that Ironheart’s turn to make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may not be that far away. Now that Robert Downey Jr. himself has endorsed Riri Williams’ inclusion in the MCU, the hopes of Ironheart’s fans are going through the roof. After admitting he watches Youtube shows like “Honest Trailers” and “How It Should Have Ended” in a recent interview with BET, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige praised Ironheart’s character. Yet he didn’t go out on a limb about her first live-action appearance.

“I think it’s a great character, and it’s been fun to see how she evolves in the comics,” Feige said. “I just saw that quote, too. But again, the future…”

Then the Marvel Studios President was asked about the rumors surrounding Killmonger’s return for the sequel to Black Panther. Feige reminded everybody that the screenplay is still in progress, and at the moment “nothing is set yet.”

“Pure rumor,” Feige added. “The honest answer to that is that is pure rumor and speculation, because Mr. Coogler is just only in recent weeks sitting down at his keyboard and beginning to outline the movie. It’s early, so nothing is set yet in any way that far, because Mr. Coogler is sitting down and will share it with Nate Moore and myself in coming weeks.”

In the same interview, Feige addressed several topics concerning the MCU. One of them was Mysterio’s debut in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, which Feige defined as “daring and complex.”
