Disney+ has renewed Daredevil: Born Again for Season 3. The series was greenlit ahead of the latest season’s premiere, and the shooting has begun as well.
In conversation with Agents of Fandom, Brad Winderbaum, Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel Studios, disclosed their plans for more seasons in the future. He revealed that they intend to release a season every other March, only if the demand for the show remains. He further highlighted how the studios have returned to “embrace a traditional development cycle,” where they want to release series that can “sustain for multiple seasons.”
In an earlier conversation with The Direct, showrunner and executive producer Dario Scardapane revealed what could be expected out of the new season. He disclosed that they are looking forward to introducing new antagonists.
“Yeah, I mean, the idea of heroes and villains in our story… Somebody that you may see can evolve into something unexpected… The idea of introducing characters that we know, Bullseye being one of them, and playing around with, ‘Should we be rooting for this guy? Wait a second, we can’t do that. He killed Foggy.’ So yeah, I mean, everything’s on the table,” he said, referring to the idea behind bringing new faces into the mix.
Teasing on what’s next, he added, “I think that fan expectations get… I love reading theories. They tend to far outstrip our abilities. But yeah, we’ve got a few more people heading your way.”
Daredevil: Born Again is set to release in March 2027.
