There’s no shortage of deaths in Marvel Zombies. Many fan-favorite characters meet their end over the course of its four episodes, often in brutal fashion. As a standalone series and a spin-off of one of the What If…? episodes, Marvel spared no hero, big or small, from a tragic fate. With all episodes released at once, fans didn’t have to wait long to find out who dies.
Here’s a breakdown of every character death in Marvel Zombies.

Episode 1
- Kate Bishop – Killed by zombified Captain Marvel’s photon blast.
- Melina Vostokoff – Killed by zombified Okoye, who threw a spear through her body.
Episode 2
- Wenwu – After Shang-Chi was bitten by a zombie, Wenwu sacrificed himself by transferring the Ten Rings to Shang-Chi to save him. He was later killed by a zombie horde.
- Skrulls – Shang-Chi and Katy killed several Skrulls when they tried to steal their supplies.
- John Walker – Tried to protect the Raft that held Baron Zemo and others, but Namor killed him during their battle.
- Yelena – Sacrificed herself to buy time for others to escape from Namor and the Talokans. She went down with the Raft.
Episode 3
- Rocket – In a flashback, Thanos killed him with the Power Stone.
- Groot – Killed alongside Rocket when Thanos used the Power Stone.
- Thanos – T’Challa killed him by pushing him into Wakanda’s molten core.
- T’Challa – Died along with Thanos when he held onto him as they both fell into the core.
- Death Dealer – Killed after Asgardian zombies attacked him in New Asgard.
- Jimmy Woo – Killed by Asgardian zombies.
- Baron Zemo – Died during the Asgardian zombie horde stampede.
- Red Guardian – Turned into a zombie after consuming food that turned out to be zombie flesh.
Episode 4
- Hawkeye – Killed by the London Master, who sliced him with energy blades.
- Janet Van Dyne – Killed by Valkyrie, who exploded her head.
- Hank Pym – Sliced in two by Blade’s sword.
- London Master – Killed when Thor summoned the Bifrost on him.
- Blade – Killed by zombified Thor’s beam.
- Rintrah – Overwhelmed by a zombie horde and impaled.
- Sara – Died along with the London Master when Thor summoned the Bifrost.
- Shang-Chi – Bitten by a zombie and infected.
- Thor – Skull crushed by Hulk during their battle.
