Fans are excited after noticing that Razor Crest has returned in The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer. While Mando’s ship was evidently destroyed in the show, fans are wondering how it made its return.
How the Razor Crest returns in The Mandalorian and Grogu
The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer has finally hit the internet, and fans can’t contain their excitement. Directed by Jon Favreau, the movie continues the journey of the bounty hunter Din Djarin and his adopted son-like figure, Grogu. The trailer offers a first look at their new adventure following the events of The Mandalorian Season 3. It features Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White in the lead roles.
Among the many things, the return of Razor Crest, Din Djarin’s ship, has the fans excited, while also wondering how it’s back. In the trailer, viewers see the Razor Crest flying near the seaside, but it may not be his original ship. Moff Gideon destroyed the ship at the end of Season 2 of the show. Moreover, this one is much shinier, indicating that it could be a newer version.
The return of the ship indicates that there is a time gap between Season 3 and the movie. Din has probably been busy taking on bounties, allowing him to gather enough credits to buy himself a new ship. Especially with a Jedi baby on board, this seemed necessary.
After his ship blew up, Mando was using the N-1, though it wasn’t suitable for his bounty-hunting needs. Furthermore, it offered little space for both Mando and Grogu to be comfortable during their interstellar travel. So, with the new Razor Crest, they’ll have more room for living and carrying bounties. Additionally, the Razor Crest predates the New Republic and the fallen Empire’s systems. It allows the two to travel without attracting anyone’s attention, which is very important for their survival.
To know how Din got his Razor Crest, fans can step into the theaters to watch The Mandalorian and Grogu starting May 22, 2026.
