Lady Gaga’s Rosaline Rotwood appears in Season 2 Part 2 (Episode 6), “Woe Thyself.” She’s one of the Nevermore spirits that Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) seeks in her pursuit to find Tyler Galpin and his mother, Francoise Galpin.
Rosaline’s first appearance is at the 17-minute mark. When Wednesday reads an inscription on Rosaline’s tombstone, she goes into a trance. In the vision, she speaks to Rosaline’s spirit and asks her how she could find the two. Rosaline explains to Wednesday that if she can hold her hand over her flame long enough, she’ll temporarily gain second sight. She also warns her that if she “[breaks] the raven’s gaze, there will be a price to pay.”
Unknown to Enid (Emma Myers), she pulls Wednesday out of the trance, leading to her breaking the raven’s gaze. This results in Wednesday and Enid switching bodies.
Rosaline’s second appearance is at the 34-minute mark, which is a much briefer appearance. This happens when Wednesday (as Enid) sneaks into Rotwood’s seance chamber. Rotwood’s spirit reminds her that she has until dawn to reverse the curse and switch bodies.
What happens to Lady Gaga’s Rosaline Rotwood in Wednesday Season 2?
It’s not known what actually happens to Rosaline Rotwood beyond these scenes. The show has showcased that her spirit is powerful and well-versed in runes and ancient cryptology. And since her spirit is on Nevermore grounds, fans could see her character in the coming seasons. There is no official announcement of the character’s return, but it remains a possibility.
In the wake of this episode, Gaga also released a new song, “The Dead Dance.” The song briefly appears in Episode 7, “Woe Me the Money,” around the 40-minute mark.
