So far, Hulu’s Alien: Earth has been fascinating. Fans believe that the best part of the series is the introduction of new species in the show. While Xenomorphs and Facehuggers make a return, viewers are also treated to new species that have proven to be extremely dangerous.
Here are all the species that we see in action in Alien: Earth.
List of all Alien: Earth species
Alien: Earth follows the events after USCSS Maginot, a Weyland-Yutani ship, crash-lands on Earth. The ship was carrying samples of dangerous alien species. One of these is the Xenomorph, a species that has wreaked havoc in every Alien movie. Along with it, there are four more species that are completely new. From the five available episodes, there is enough information to discuss. Here’s a breakdown of the five alien species from the show.
Xenomorph
The Xenomorph is the most familiar and iconic species in the franchise. Its life cycle consists of five stages: Ovomorph, Facehuggers, Chestbursters, Adult Xenomorph, and finally, the Queen. These tall and stealthy creatures have a long head with no eyes. In Alien: Earth, it is revealed that they can sense fear, which helps them hunt. They also have long, spiked tails and deadly jaws that they use to attack their prey. Additionally, they have acid for blood, which can easily melt through metals and bones.
T. Ocellus/Species 64
T. Ocellus, also known as Species 64, is one of the most disturbing species in the show. It looks like a giant eyeball with octopus-like tentacles. It plucks out the eye of its prey and places itself in the empty socket, slowly taking over the host’s mind. The creature has shown incredible intelligence and could be a rival species to the Xenomorph, as seen in Episode 5.
Species 19
Species 19 is another species introduced earlier in the series. It latches onto its prey’s artery and drains its blood, leaving only corpses behind. This species can release tadpole-like creatures that survive in water. It can also produce deadly gas that causes humans to bleed from their eyes. These creatures have shown signs of intelligence, making them even more dangerous.
D. Plumbicare
As seen in Episode 2, these plant-like species hang from ceilings and resemble giant pods. They use a long stamen to grab prey, pulling victims inside to suffocate them. They later feed on the corpses.
Beetle-like Lifeform
These species are still mysterious to viewers since they appear only briefly in the show. They resemble beetles with what seem to be retractable wings that could allow them to fly.
With three more episodes left, Alien: Earth could shed more light on these mysterious species.
