Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 left the viewers with many unanswered questions. Wednesday Addams losing her psychic powers was one of the biggest mysteries that kept the fans eagerly waiting for Part 2. Now that the latter half of the season has finally aired, the show has answered whether she gets back her powers or not.
Here’s what the ending of Wednesday Season 2 means for Wednesday’s psychic powers.

Does Wednesday get her powers back in Season 2 Part 2?
In the first episode of Wednesday Season 2 Part 1, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is seen to be using her psychic powers regularly. But she later loses the powers following a vision of Enid’s death, which triggers violent seizures and black tears.
Both seizures and black tears are signs of her abusing those powers. Her mother, Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones), warned Wednesday that if she doesn’t stop, it could be fatal. She also revealed that Wednesday’s Aunt Ophelia also suffered from overusing her powers and is now missing. This forces Wednesday to rely purely on her detective skills to solve the mysteries.
By the end of Season 2 Part 2, the show gives a clear answer. Yes, Wednesday’s powers are coming back. This happens during the finale, when she reads her Aunt Ophelia’s journal and is suddenly pulled into a vision. In the vision, Wednesday learns that her Aunt Ophelia is still alive somewhere in a dark room. She later learns that she is hiding in her Grandmama Hester Frump’s (Joanna Lumley) mansion’s basement, plotting her death.
The show creators revealed to Tudum that Wednesday regaining her powers holds more than a supernatural significance. It also represents her growth as a character. Throughout Season 2, she had a difficult and limited relationship with her mother, which affected her abilities. The creators also hinted that since their relationship has begun to mend, Wednesday could reach her full potential in the coming seasons.
Wednesday was renewed for a third season earlier this year.
