After a confrontation with Queen Xenomorph, Hermit and Wendy are severely injured. The latter is taken to the facility to heal. Meanwhile, Boy Kavalier leverages Hermit’s part to experiment on Xenomorph eggs. The experiment further leads to a high-pitched cry of the creature, which awakens Wendy.
It appears that she could make sense of the Xenomorph’s language, given that its screech impacted her physically and mentally. She struggled to reach the prodigy lab where the experiment was conducted and ended up fainting. Her understanding of the Xenomorph’s language was made evident in the recently dropped Episode 4 trailer. In which scientists ask Wendy about the events that led to her collapse. She replies, “I woke up and I heard it. It was screaming.”
