Even though Eric is not the biological father, he has always stepped up to be a father figure for Harper, caring for her in all aspects. Since he is the only one in the family who stays in the same body, he carefully manages and helps everyone through this magical yet bizarre chaos. This shows that he really cares for the family, which impresses Anna even more.
