It’s a total frenzy among Daredevil fans right now. A clip of Charlie Cox’s interview has gone viral, and many are worried that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 might be the final season. But not all is as bad as it seems.
Here’s what Charlie Cox said in the interview, and why it might not be the case.
Will Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 get canceled after Season 2?
After years of waiting, fans finally got what they wanted — a brand-new season of Daredevil. Daredevil: Born Again premiered on Disney+ in March 2025, and audiences couldn’t have been happier.
In a recent interview at GalaxyCon, Charlie Cox discussed his suit in Season 2 and in the series overall. During this conversation, he said, “There’s something that we do in this final season that doesn’t exist in the comics. It is unique to our show. And so I’m pretty excited about that.”
The clip, shared on GalaxyCon’s Instagram account, quickly sparked concern after the actor referred to it as the “final season.” While it’s possible Cox simply misspoke and meant “latest” season, many fans weren’t convinced.
Since Cox doesn’t use social media, fans turned to Vincent D’Onofrio — the Kingpin himself. In a post on X, a fan asked, “Is this true? I thought there are plans for S3?” D’Onofrio replied, “Good chance there will be a third.” This gave fans hope that the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will return beyond Season 2.
Additionally, during the Daredevil: Born Again press tour, Brad Winderbaum, Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel Studios, spoke about the studio’s long-term approach. In an interview with Brandon Davis, he said, “We’re only going to make things when we feel like they are ready and can go on for multiple seasons.”
If Winderbaum’s comments are anything to go by, Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 — and possibly more — could still be in the cards.
