Curious why Wednesday fans are buzzing about Enid and Ajax’s breakup? The Season 2 premiere wasted no time revealing what went wrong between the couple after their Season 1 romance.
Here’s what Enid said about the split, how Ajax responded, and what it means for her new relationship.

Enid explains why she and Ajax broke up in Wednesday Season 2
In Wednesday Season 2, Episode 1, Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) reveals the reason behind her breakup with Ajax Petropolus (Georgie Farmer).
She tells Wednesday, “I’m not sure how I feel about Ajax anymore. He’s sweet and cute, but he’s still in love with the old me, and I’ve changed.” This moment confirms that Enid’s transformation at the end of Season 1 fundamentally shifted her perspective and identity.
The first episode shows Enid becoming close to Bruno, a new werewolf student from the Philippines played by Noah B. Taylor. When Ajax later confronts Enid during a bonfire reunion, he mentions that she ghosted him over the summer.
Enid replies, “Wolf Camp was strictly device-free. I was unplugged for a whole month. Can you believe it? I think I have PTSD.” Ajax then says, “It kind of feels like you’ve been avoiding me,” to which Enid explains, “I’ve been busy with the pack, and you have your RA thing. Plus I’ve got the Wednesday factor.”
In Episode 3, Enid and Ajax have a direct conversation about the breakup. She admits, “I should’ve told you at the beginning of the year. I realized I wasn’t that insecure girl who thought she’d never fit in.” Enid apologizes and adds, “I didn’t expect my thing with Bruno to heat up so fast.”
Bruno, like Enid, is the last in his family to “wolf out,” and their bond grows over shared identity and personal growth. Unlike Ajax, who clings to the past, Bruno supports Enid’s evolving sense of self. The season highlights how Enid found clarity after her transformation and chose a path and a partner aligned with who she is now.
Netflix will release Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 on September 3, 2025.
