Recent data in 2024 and 2025 suggests that it takes somewhere between 80 and 105 days for a Disney film to release on the platform. For instance, Moana 2 took 105 days to end up on Disney Plus and the live-action Lilo & Stitch will take 103 days, while the less-than-stellar Snow White reboot only took 82 days.
As such, we predict that Freakier Friday will have a fairly good run, given that it’s targeting female audiences of all ages in a time when there won’t be many competitors. The film has also received generally favorable reviews with a 70 on Metacritic and a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes (at the time of writing).
