Fast X: Part 2 Release Date Estimate, News & Updates

The Fast X: Part 2 release date is highly anticipated among fans, especially following the release of Part 1 two years ago. Excitement peaked after franchise star Vin Diesel appeared at a fan event last month, where he revealed key details about the upcoming film. Part 1 was released in May 2023 and directed by Justin Lin.

So, what’s the release date estimate for Fast X: Part 2? Here’s what we have learned.

What is the Fast X: Part 2 release date estimate?

The estimated release date for Fast X: Part 2 is the first week of April 2027.

This estimate is based on the past success of Fast & Furious movies and other Universal Pictures releases, such as The Super Mario Bros. Movie, during that timeframe. However, Universal Pictures has not yet confirmed an exact release date. The film’s official title also remains unknown.

Alternatively, the film may premiere in May or June, as previous installments like Fast X and 2 Fast 2 Furious debuted during those months, making them likely release windows.

Fast X: Part 2 news and updates

The most recent update about Fast X: Part 2 came directly from Vin Diesel. Speaking at Fuelfest, an automobile festival hosted by Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker (Paul Walker’s brother), Diesel shared several insights into the film’s development.

Diesel confirmed that he and the producers have been working diligently on the project. He also noted that he recently met with Universal Pictures, who asked him about the release date for the eleventh installment. In response, Diesel said he gave them three conditions.

The first condition was that the film return to its original setting, Los Angeles. The second was to bring the story back to its roots by focusing on street racing. The third condition — which has generated significant speculation — was to reunite Dominic Toretto with his close friend and brother-in-law, Brian O’Conner.

Vin Diesel remains the only officially confirmed cast member for Fast X: Part 2. However, the studio could bring back other stars, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, and Gal Gadot.
