Avatar: Seven Havens Release Date, Cast & What We Know of the Plot

Nickelodeon has released the first look at Avatar: Seven Havens, a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender. Fans widely regard Avatar as one of the most successful Nickelodeon shows of all time. The upcoming series will also serve as a follow-up to The Legend of Korra. Nickelodeon released the first look as part of Avatar’s 20-year anniversary celebration.

When is Avatar: Seven Havens’ release date?

There is no release date for Avatar: Seven Havens yet. Since the creators just announced the project, no one knows the exact premiere details. However, reports indicate that it could premiere sometime in 2027.

There is already an upcoming Avatar project scheduled for 2026. The Legend of Aang: The Last Avatar will have its theatrical premiere on October 9, 2026. It is safe to assume that the new series will be released at least a year after that.

Who is starring in Avatar: Seven Havens’ cast?

Though there are no casting details yet, the panel where the first look was revealed featured a group of renowned stars. This included Janet Varney, Mae Whitman, Zach Tyler Eisen, Jack De Sena, Michaela Jill Murphy, Jennie Kwan, Dante Basco, and Dee Bradley Baker. It is possible that some of them could reprise their roles in the new series. Seven Havens may also feature a completely new cast, giving it a fresh twist.

What story will Avatar: Seven Havens’ plot tell?

The story of Avatar: Seven Havens will follow two Earthbending twins, as one of them discovers she is someone with the ability to bend all four elements.

As per the synopsis, the series is set in “a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm. A young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra – but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.”
