Squid Game Season 3 is not far from its premiere. As fans gear up to catch Seong Gi-hun’s one last battle, they have become curious about characters from the previous season. This includes Player 324, played by Hong Seung-gyun. So, who is Player 324, and is he alive or dead in Squid Game?
Here is everything you need to know about the fate of the player in the dystopian survival thriller series.
Is Player 324 dead or alive in Squid Game?
Player 324 is dead in Squid Game.
He was one of the participants in the 2024 edition of Squid Game. Like every other player, Player 324 was presumed to have joined the deadly games to get rid of debt and earn some money. He succeeded in completing the first three challenges and decided to vote to end the games in the third vote.
During the games, he became enemies with Player 192 and Player 442. He was also caught in a bathroom while trying to support the X voters. Despite the danger, he managed to survive the special game and eventually chose to support Gi-hun in his mission to stop the games. However, the rebellion did not last long, bringing trouble for all the players, including Player 324.
Ultimately, he, Player 145, and Kyung Seok realized they had lost the battle when Dae Ho and Hyun Ju failed to return with the ammunition. Eventually, they ran out of bullets, and the guards closed in on them. Refusing to surrender, Player 324 took his fate into his own hands. He pulled the trigger and used his last bullet to kill himself, despite Kyung Seok pleading with him not to. So, Player 324 took his own life, and the guards killed Player 145.
This is not the first time a Player 324 has died on the show. There was another player with the same number in the first season. He had a carefree attitude toward the game and was shot down in the first episode, becoming the first player to be eliminated.
