Viewers are curious about whether Marvel Studios has renewed or canceled Ironheart Season 2. Created by Chinaka Hodge, the superhero action series follows Riri Williams, a genius MIT student, after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. As she continues to advance her armor suit, she encounters a new danger called The Hood. She embarks on a perilous adventure that pits technology against magic. With the latest Ironheart release, many are eager to know if Season 2 could also be expected in the future.
Here are all the details.
Is Ironheart Season 2 canceled or renewed?
Marvel Studios has neither canceled nor renewed Ironheart for Season 2.
In an interview with The Direct, Dominique Thorne, who plays Riri Williams, revealed whether she is aware of any talks at Marvel about Ironheart Season 2 happening. To this, she replied, “No, no. Not yet.” However, she did discuss what she would like to explore in another outing, if it happens at all. “Actually, don’t think I can even say that without spoiling everything… I would like to see her explore the full range of other options presented to her in Season 1,” she added.
She also noted how the current outing would expand her viewpoint of the world. Moreover, she teased how her latest storyline could pave the way for her next chapter. “So now that she does know what’s out there, what does she choose? And when she makes a choice, we know that she’ll commit. And so what does that, what does that look like for her to lean into the total left field option of what we would expect from her? I think that would be pretty cool,” she explained.
Generally, a series renewal depends on multiple factors, including viewership and audience reception. However, in Ironheart’s case, it’s too early to determine how the series would perform. Fans will have to wait for Marvel Studios to officially give an update on its future.
Ironheart will arrive on Disney+ on June 24, 2025.
