In an exclusive interview with The Direct, Dominique Thorne responded to a question about her involvement in upcoming Doomsday or Secret Wars by saying, “The odds might be in our favor. Who knows? We’ll see. We’ll see.” This comes shortly after reports suggested that a version of the Young Avengers, which includes Ironheart, could feature in Doomsday.

Thorne’s appearance in Doomsday would mark her third MCU outing, following Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and her solo series Ironheart, which premieres its first three episodes on Disney+ on June 24, 2025. In the same interview, Thorne addressed comparisons to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, stating, “I would say get on the bandwagon. It’s here. We’re here… I mean, Tony’s on the bandwagon, so you know, what’s the problem? RDJ is here. It’s nice here. It’s cute here, it’s comfy here. It smells good here.”

The latest trailer for Ironheart revealed that Riri Williams will experiment with a combination of technology and mystic energy. It shows her crafting a suit that incorporates elements of Eldritch magic. Thorne described this hybrid as “new territory in terms of how tech and magic can merge, how they can work together, how they might clash.”

Thorne added that this blend of science and sorcery makes Ironheart’s story “fun, it’s exciting, it’s dangerous, it’s risky,” and positions her as a distinctive presence in the MCU. The Ironheart series includes six episodes and features cast members Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, and Regan Aliyah.

The series is expected to connect to Avengers: Doomsday, set for release on December 18, 2026.
