All powers of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch in The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch powers include pyrokinetic flight, fire generation and manipulation, being immune to fire and heat, durability, and resistance to cold.

Fantastic Four Updates on X (formerly Twitter) shared a screengrab of all the abilities that Quinn’s Johnny Storm will hold in the MCU. As a cosmic being, he can ignite into flames and soar through the skies. He can also resist and absorb massive heat and explosions.

In the comics, too, the Human Torch has similar powers, wherein he can transform into a fiery, plasma-like state at will and has complete control over it. Unlike human beings, whose cells use food to develop ATP energy, Storm’s genes were modified upon being exposed to cosmic rays. In a strange phenomenon, his body generated a new energy, AR-HP, which granted him his fiery powers.

His fire powers could also take different forms, like spheres and streams, but he requires a lot of focus to maintain these states. Additionally, he can create a flame jet to get an accelerated speed.

Storm has a lasting durability, making him a reliable hero to count on in an intense battle. Aside from heat manipulation and absorption, he also has other impressive abilities, such as hand-to-hand combat and design, and mechanical expertise. He is also skilled as a professional race car driver.
