When Is The Witcher Season 4’s Trailer & Release Date Expected?

Wondering when The Witcher Season 4 trailer and release date will finally drop? As the first season to feature Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, Season 4 marks a major shift in the Netflix fantasy series. This season marks the beginning of the end, with Hemsworth leading the cast into the final two-book adaptation.

Here’s when the trailer and release date for The Witcher Season 4 are expected to be revealed.

When will The Witcher Season 4 trailer and release date be revealed?

Netflix confirmed that The Witcher Season 4 will premiere in 2025, though it hasn’t announced a specific date yet. After wrapping production in late 2024, the spotlight has shifted to Netflix’s annual TUDUM event, scheduled for May 31, 2025.

Netflix plans to highlight The Witcher Season 4 at TUDUM, along with other major titles like One Piece and Stranger Things. Netflix often uses this event to drop trailers and announce release dates. This has fueled speculation that the streamer will unveil the first full trailer and a launch window for Season 4 during the showcase.

In April 2025, Netflix confirmed it filmed Season 4 back-to-back with the fifth and final season. Liam Hemsworth takes over as Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill. The upcoming episodes will adapt Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake, based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s books.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said, “It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate season… led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia” (via Netflix). Netflix has already released a brief teaser that shows Hemsworth wearing Geralt’s medallion while walking through a foggy landscape.

Season 3 ended with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri scattered across the Continent. In Season 4, Ciri adopts the alias Falka and joins the Rats. Geralt builds the Hanza group, while Yennefer takes over leadership at Aretuza.

Netflix has added several new cast members. These include Laurence Fishburne as Regis, Sharlto Copley as Leo Bonhart, and James Purefoy as Skellen. The streamer will likely reveal the trailer and release date during the TUDUM event on May 31.
