Why There’s No New Andor Season 2 Episode This Week

Wondering why Disney+ isn’t dropping new episodes of Andor this week? As fans revisit the latest chapters and search for updates, questions about the show’s current release status continue to trend. With its recent weekly rollout and tightly packed episode schedule, many are curious about what’s next.

Here’s a look at why Andor has no new episodes releasing this week—and what that means for the series.

Why Disney+ isn’t releasing new episodes for Andor Season 2 this week

Disney+ is not releasing new episodes of Andor Season 2 this week because the show has officially concluded.

Disney+ dropped the second and final season of Andor in four weekly batches of three episodes each, from April 22 to May 13, 2025. The final episode, “Jedha, Kyber, Erso,” released on May 13, concluded Cassian Andor’s story arc.

The finale showed Cassian, Melshi, and K-2SO bringing Kleya back to Yavin IV. The Rebels began preparing for future conflicts. This episode marked the end of the Andor series. The narrative leads directly into the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The season began one year after the Ferrix uprising. It followed Cassian’s growing role in the Rebellion. Major events included the Ghorman massacre, Mon Mothma’s public denouncement of the Empire, the Death Star’s exposure, and the deaths of Luthen Rael and Lonni Jung. The show followed a set release schedule with no delays or breaks.

Season 2 had 12 episodes. Disney+ released three episodes on April 22: “One Year Later,” “Sagrona Teema,” and “Harvest.” Three more followed on April 29: “Ever Been to Ghorman?,” “I Have Friends Everywhere,” and “What a Festive Evening.” Another three dropped on May 6: “Messenger,” “Who Are You?,” and “Welcome to the Rebellion.” Disney+ released the final three episodes—“Make It Stop,” “Who Else Knows?,” and “Jedha, Kyber, Erso”—on May 13.

The creators planned Andor as a two-season series from the start, designed to bridge the gap between Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One.
