As fans await the highly anticipated Season 3 of Solo Leveling, they have also been wondering whether the anime will be ending soon. Solo Leveling Season 2 finished airing in March 2025 and became one of the most successful projects on Crunchyroll, temporarily surpassing even One Piece. The anime is based on the popular South Korean manhwa of the same name, penned by author Chugong.
Is Solo Leveling going to be over soon?
Solo Leveling might get over soon, based on the remarks made by its producer, Atsushi Kaneko.
Following the finale of Solo Leveling Season 2, fans were eager to know whether the anime would return for another season. However, Kaneko’s statement regarding the anime coming back anytime soon has sparked uncertainty among fans.
While speaking to Crunchyroll in March 2025, Kaneko expressed doubt regarding Solo Leveling’s Season 3 and asserted, “With episode 25… the anime series Solo Leveling will come to an end, for now. Will this end be temporary or not? I honestly don’t know what the future will bring. With the encouragement and support of everyone watching, [the anime] may continue or it may not. Personally, I really hope it does.”
Apart from Kaneko, the English voice actor of Sung Jinwoo, also confirmed in a recent video that Season 3 of the anime “won’t be coming out for a while.”
These statements fall in line with the recent comments made by Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini about Solo Leveling Season 3. In an interview with Deadline, Purini revealed that he hopes for Season 3 to come, but it will take some time. He added, “The [series] creators want to work on lot of shows. Anime is really popular, so there’s a lot of demand, and so we have to find the right time to get started on the next season.”
Moreover, with Season 2, the anime has already covered chapter 110 of the manhwa, thus, many fans also have hopes for more seasons, as it has 200 chapters. At the time of writing, the show has not been officially confirmed for Season 3.
