Eagerly waiting to know about the ending of Andor Season 2? The finale proved to be sad for one of the characters, named Dedra Meero. Without authorization, she becomes dedicated to seeking Axis, which leads to the intervention of Director Orson Krennic. Her actions set off a chain of events that led to an unhappy end for Dedra. So, here are details on what happened to her in the Andor Season 2 finale.

Why Dedra Meero is in prison in Andor Season 2’s ending?
Dedra Meero is sent to prison as she leveraged the Death Star files to find leads on Axis (Luthen), which she shouldn’t have access to. Although she manages to find Axis, she gets arrested for working on the case without permission. Director Orson Krennic steps in to interrogate, and despite insisting that she didn’t know about Lonni Jung using her access to learn about the files and the information on the Death Star, she ultimately is sent to the Narkina prison cell.
For the unversed, in Episode 11, “Who Else Knows?,” Krennic discovers that Dedra accidentally received confidential information about the Death Star. But she chose to read it instead of deleting it, ultimately allowing Lonni to use her access and find out about the Death Star. He then transferred the information to Luthen, and that’s how the rebel got to know about the Death Star. This ultimately means that she served as a weak connection between the Rebels, allowing them to read the top-secret information they weren’t supposed to have access to.
During the interrogation, Krennic dives deeper into Lonni’s discovery of the Death Star files. He accuses Dedra of being a Rebel spy, helping others gain crucial information. However, Dedra refuses, letting Krennic know that she had no such intention; she was only trying to find leads on Axis. She also clarifies that she wasn’t aware that Lonni secretly had the code clearance to access the files. Krennic wasn’t very impressed by her answers. So, she was ultimately sent to Narkina prison.
