Fans have begun to think that Ironheart, which is set to release on June 24, might get delayed again. The superhero-action series was initially supposed to come out sometime in 2023, but faced postponement due to reported changes in Disney and Marvel Studios’ content strategy. Further, the project was tossed into the backseat again because of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Although Marvel Studios has officially confirmed its release, many fans are thinking that the release date could be moved again. But would it happen? Here are the details.
Is Ironheart’s release date getting delayed again?
Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed Ironheart’s release date delay. Therefore, it remains a mere speculation.
The speculations about Ironheart’s delay emerged when fans noticed that Marvel Studios hadn’t begun the marketing campaign for the series, even though it is supposed to be released next month. Additionally, it hasn’t even revealed an official trailer for the series. As of now, it has just given a few glimpses of the project through videos of upcoming MCU projects and some stills. However, it hasn’t released any trailer, which is exclusive to Ironheart. This has many wondering if the studios have any plans on delaying it again.
Marvel Studios, in the past, has taken between 49 days to around 6 months at least to drop a trailer for their Disney+ series. For instance, the Daredevil: Born Again trailer was aired 49 days before its release, whereas the WandaVision one came out 116 days before. However, with Ironheart, a little over 45 days are left until its official release, but there are no reports of a trailer release yet, which has raised suspicions.
Nonetheless, the series is highly unlikely to receive a cancellation, given it has been sitting on Marvel shelves for around two years after the filming wrapped up. Rumors suggest that a trailer could be expected sometime this May. Meantime, fans have already gotten to witness little glimpses from the upcoming series, which has left everyone anticipating its release.
