Daredevil: Born Again has released its ninth episode. With high stakes and an intense showdown between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk after Matt saved the mayor’s life, fans were eager to see where the series would go next. Naturally, many are now asking: has Daredevil: Born Again ended?
Here’s everything to know about the show’s current status and future.
Has Daredevil: Born Again ended with Episode 9?
Daredevil: Born Again has not ended. The show will return for Season 2, and concluded its first season with Episode 9.
The season finale aired on April 15, 2025. Although some viewers anticipated more episodes, given streaming platforms often split seasons into multiple parts to maintain weekly engagement and hype, all nine episodes of Daredevil: Born Again were released as originally scheduled. The series did not follow a multi-part release format.
When is Daredevil: Born Again Season 2’s release date?
Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is currently filming and may premiere in early to mid-2026.
Marvel renewed the show for a second season in August 2024, before Season 1 premiered. Season 2 includes eight episodes and continues Matt and Fisk’s escalating conflict, introducing new challenges, returning characters, and high-stakes confrontations across New York City. Filming started in February 2025 and should wrap by July 2025.
In an interview with Marvel.com, executive producer Sana Amanat discussed the production:
“It’s been great. We’ve been shooting a lot of crazy sequences. The crew is crushing it, and the action is nonstop. The backdrop is a little different. It’s still New York, but it’s a slightly different kind of New York.”
She added, “I’m very excited about the material we’ve been getting. I’ve been fangirling all week. We shot a really big sequence with Wilson Fisk this week, and I felt like a kid in a candy shop.”
For now, fans can stream all nine episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 on Disney+.
