First Transformers One Action Figures Have a Prime Focus

This is how you roll out movie toy news the right way — immediately after the first trailer drops! We all saw what Transformers One looks like this morning, in that first trailer revealing the early adventures of Orion Pax (Chris Hemsworth) and D-16 (Brian Tyree Henry) before they become the Optimus Prime and Megatron we know so well. So now that we know what the movie based on toys looks like, how about the toys based on this movie? Hasbro has us covered.

Pax to the Future

Like most Studio Series figures, he includes a cardboard display backdrop, and also comes with 2 shoulder pipes, a dual-barrel blaster, and Energon Axe accessories that can attach in both modes. Most Studio Series figures are based on scans of original movie digital assets — it’s unknown as of this writing if this one is or not.

Following the success of Rise of the Beasts’ 2-in-1 Mask Figures, Hasbro continues the line with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee masks that similarly transform into playable robots. These work best for smaller kids, as the masks aren’t that big.

Mega-Changers are in the style of Hasbro’s bargain 11-inch figures often seen in drug stores, with basic sculpts, but in this case, they also do simple transformations. At $14.99, they’re a good value for really young fans who need simpler toys. Note that many of these look to be more Generation 1 inspired than by the new movie:

Prime Changers, at $19.99 apiece, are simpler 5-inch Transformers, similar to Deluxe Class but with fewer steps. Orion Pax and Alpha Trion make up the first wave. (That Orion Pax looks more like he’s become Optimus Prime already, though.)

Expect all these toys, and more, to hit stores in summer, before the movie arrives in September. For more images, see below:
