Iron Studios Gives ThunderCats Villains a Detailed Makeover

Unlike their counterparts in Masters of the Universe, ThunderCats are best known as cartoons first, toys second. He-Man and friends debuted as toys, sometimes to get used on TV, while Lion-O and the gang has their toy line mimic the cartoons. So when it comes to merchandise, ThunderCats collectibles typically follow the animated style guide. Iron Studios, however, has opted to get more detailed. With their new statues of ThunderCats villains, the characters get elaborate makeovers. While familiar in design, they look like live-action movie quality representations.

Like most Iron Studios statues, these come in 1/10 scale. (Making each character around 7 inches, plus base, similar to McFarlane and NECA figures.) Augmenting previous releases of Lion-O and Mumm-Ra, the mutants from Plun-Darr build out the enemy roster. Joining the ever-living arch-villain will be Slithe, Monkian, Jackalman, Vultureman, and shape-shifting bulldog Ma-Mutt. The canine companion runs $99.99; the others a consistent 159.99. Preorders are live now, for an unspecified futured delivery date.
